Objective: To tie 3 entities together: a coffee brand, a cafe and a non-profit aiming to uplift and empower entrepreneurs back in Haiti. The client wanted a fun, energetic and hopeful tone to represent Haiti’s vibrant culture and strong sense of community. We drew inspiration from the colorfully decorated tap tap buses (shared taxis) you find in Haitian cities, which gives it a joyful and unique feel to help stand out from the Seattle-based coffee crowd.

Objective: To create a brand with a powerful Afro-Indigenous vibe inspired by the swim school’s namesake, the Yoruba river goddess Oshun. OSS strives to build a safer space for BIPOC womxn and non-binary people to explore their relationship with water. The brand needed to reflect this core value and feel bold, empowering, uniquely beautiful and easy to read.

Objective: The clients wanted to utilize both festive and structured elements for a simple, bold look that would feel official yet fun. The goal was to attract womxn of color to the town hall style events aimed at connecting, supporting and advancing WOC in their professional fields.

Objective: The org’s unofficial tagline is “We’re fun but we get sh*t done.” They wanted an energetic and approachable brand that also felt progressive, radical, and for the people. They were repositioning themselves as a united group with other reproductive justice orgs in Georgia, and wanted that collaborative and intersectional spirit to shine through in the imagery.

Details: The clients wanted a poster that was whimsical and friendly to encourage people to come out and shop small to support local shops that were struggling after pandemic closures. The design needed to speak to this time yet feel joyful and inviting. It was a fun challenge getting to highlight my favorite Seattle neighborhood and some of the quirky sites that make it so unique.

Details: Theme logo, visual identity, poster + newsletter design

Objective: RCRC’s work centers people of marginalized genders and combines music education, gender-responsive programming, and a commitment to positive social change. The theme for the year was all about disrupting the norm, putting yourself out there and causing a ruckus. They wanted a design that was energetic and playful yet empowering, with a bit of an edge to appeal to both youth and adults since their programming caters to a wide age range and audience.

Details: The nonprofit wanted vibrant print and digital marketing collateral for their annual fundraising Gala. They needed a card with an insert highlighting the guest speakers and wanted it to have a topographic, mountainous theme. The cover art would also be projected onto 30’ walls at the event venue, so the imagery needed to be bold with rich colors and textures to stand out and set a dynamic scene for the evening.

Details: Artwork for an org that helps people find and support small businesses and the diverse people behind them. These pieces were used to help highlight Black and Latinx businesses during their respective holidays and heritage months.

Details: Center for Education Results and United Negro College Fund wanted a vibrant and empowering infographic that would clearly highlight the benefits of HBCUs and how to get support connecting to them. They wanted eye-catching imagery that would appeal to students in the Pacific Northwest who were interested in attending historically Black colleges after graduating high school.

Details: Logo design for a promotion involving NFL quarterback Russell Wilson and United Way. The aprons were sold at local stores with proceeds going to support a program that delivered food and necessary resources to families during the pandemic.

Objective: The org needed a fresh brand that centered on their goals of youth drowning prevention and equitable swim access, with a variety of print and online tools for parents to help keep their kids safe in the water.

Details: The non-profit is comprised of former Seattle Seahawks who organize an annual celebrity basketball game + fundraiser to benefit orgs serving local communities. They wanted a unique 3-D invitation that would dramatically unfold* to reveal a “golden ticket” insert. I gave it a textured and sporty yet premium feel to attract pro athletes to participate in this high-profile event celebrating Seattle sports history.

Details: WCA advocates for environmental progress and justice in the region. They wanted a clean infographic that would help to outline the complex and nuanced role of carbon in ecosystems.
